it’s been over a week?
Dang, it's been over a week since I posted!
Let's see, where to begin –
Last week (Monday through Thursday), VJ came down and spent some time with us – just hanging out. It was an eat-out fest. Every night we went somewhere. The best place was Otani Japanese Steakhouse. It's very much like Kobe's, but there were a couple of things different. I sent VJ out to see The Getaway Car at Jammin' Java (see Todd, I'm still supportive!). He loved it.
This last weekend was the Halloween Party at our neighbors (Stephanie & Dan). We had a blast (as always).
Today was our yearly tenant appreciation luncheon, but instead of at a hotel, it was at Maggiano's! I LOVE MAGGIANO'S! Needless to say, I am full.
Tomorrow is Telsa at Ram's Head Live in Baltimore. Unfortunately, Suzanne won't be going as she has surgery scheduled the next day. Dan and I will be going in her honor (since it's her favorite band)!
Friday, just hanging out at home and carving pumpkins waiting for trick-or-treaters.
Saturday off to Wiseacres to see Jon Miller. We haven't see Jon since the good old Fairfax Ice Rink days!

Busy, busy, busy weekend

busy, busy, busy weekend
What a busy weekend. It was all good though.
Saturday, Dan painted the foundation of the house while I cleaned the master bedroom and master bath. Then after showers, we took Esa to Walgreens to have her picture taken for the Best Friends fundraiser. I wasn't too happy with the pictures. It was of the three of us and I could not see – he had us looking into the sun (which I'm sure you are not supposed to do when taking picture). All of them had me squinting in them, trying to look. Dan and Esa look good – I'll just have to crop myself out (LOL!).
Then it was off to lunch (Chipotle, of course) and then over to Home Depot. By the time we got home again, it was 3:30 p.m. and almost time to go to the hockey game.
The hockey game was awesome. We were in the 200 section – nice seats because you could see everything. Getting to the seats was a different story – I followed Dan and we ended up walking the whole arena, then taking the escalators to the 400 section, back down, I think walking the whole arena (again), then finally getting on the right escalator. Always an adventure!
We talked to our sales rep and we should be purchasing a "6 pack" ticket plan this week. They are releasing a more flexible plan, so we'll be able to get it.
Caps are trying for Washington Capitals license plates again (in VA). Maryland has them now. So, we might sign up for it.
Yesterday, I went to an all-day crop. It was a lot of fun. I went with my scrapbooking pal, Robin. We haven't seen each other in forever (like a year). I got quite a few pages done (and almost done – need to fill in blank space) of Esa's scrapbook. Took breaks when I wanted and shopped at the (few) vendors they had and got some free stuff on the "free" table.
I haven't done my scrapbooking in awhile, and I forget how much I like doing it. I mentioned to Dan that I would like to set up the office differently and make like a craft/computer area. I'll have to look into closet/cabinet builders.
Last night, it was just hanging out at home. Sable came over and played with Esa for awhile and wore her out. You would think they haven't seen each other in years

Another Esa day

Another Esa day
We had a busy day yesterday.
First it was working in the lawn - pulling weeds, mulching, putting away the lawn ornaments and the potted bulbs. Dan was busy with mowing and weedwacking.
Then it was off to Buffalo Wing Factory for lunch. I've been craving them for awhile. It's hard not to when you drive by everyday and smell them cooking! Then it was off to Canine Country Jamboree. The usual vendors were there - some that we had seen on Sunday, but some new ones (a lot of rescue groups). We got quite a few free stuff - some for humans too!We bought some Tupperware and I bought a bag with treats from Wrapped in Kindness.
They had a playarea for the dogs and Esa had fun meeting new dogs. There was one dog that she was playing with that the "Warden" thought was playing too rough with her and he broke them up, but we knew they were just playing.
We saw Esa's twin there - more of a twin than Roxanne in the neighborhood! They looked EXACTLY alike with the other dog just a little bit bigger than Esa. When we stopped at the Dog Day Afternoon booth, the one lady said - "did you see Esa's twin!"
That was the day, when we got home, my head started to hurt - must have been from the lawn work and the mold in the mulch or just the grass. Ended up watching 2 movies (Vacancy and Harry Potter) and going to bed like 8:30 p.m.
I still woke up with a headache. Still hurts a little, but not as much. I'll be hanging out watching hockey today (WOOHOO!) Dan's off to the neighbor's to help finish painting their fence.
