Aunt Helen is out of bed, but isn't eating solids. It looks like her tongue might be swollen a little (probably from medicines). She's drinking her Ensure and special drink of half water/half Sierra Mist.

She's really drowsy (even without medications), and talks like a skipping CD. She'll be with you for a minute and then keep repeating something within the conversation.

For example - I told her that we went out for lunch and the usual question was asked - what did you have. I told her a Calzone from Wegmans and it wasn't as good as she used to make. She said I can't make them anymore, and she said she can't remember what she used to put in them, we listed different items and she was yes, no, but then something clicked and it was like she couldn't drop the Calzone thought - I want a calzone, did you order me a calzone, I want a good calzone - over and over and over. This went on for probably 15 minutes. Another example was something about $50 and receipts. I need my receipts, I had $50 in my purse, I saved $5.

It's so frustating, because I'm trying to keep her calm and it felt like I wasn't. She at least knew we were here - she's is aware of people coming and going - and asked for me quite a few times when I was sitting right there - and Dan too. She just gets into these spells.

We have decided to go home tomorrow and wait. We hope this isn't a drawn out process. My sister-in-law (Joanne) & I have decided AND KNOW that Helen would not want any feeding tube or IV. We know that Helen doesn't want to be in the stage she is in now and pray this is over sooner rather than later.

I did get to see my cousins today - Kathy & Anita. They have been coming weekly to see her. I haven't seen them in a while. Kathy said that she's trying to get the stories about the family and when she asked Helen, Helen said to ask me because she already told me the stories - and went through the pictures with me.

So it looks like Kathy and I will be chatting more. Which is cool. Her kids are my age and I remember going to her house all of the time to play with my cousins. They also inherited all of my hand-me-down clothes.

Joanne did get in touch with Brett & Kim, but they will not be coming down (figures). It seems they use their phone for her step-mother's business. Kim's stepmom does a lot for them - gave them a car, now their phone - too bad they still are not happy with life.

We received the call today - Helen isn't doing well. We're packing up and heading to NY tomorrow morning.

She's bed ridden and isn't eating much and when she does eat, they are hand feeding her. This isn't good.

We can't get a hold of Brett and Kim either - figures. The number now goes to an answering machine that sounds like for a home business for getting an application for a credit card. Weird.

It's the start of Dan's birthday celebration (his birthday is Tuesday).

I let him open up his presents today and one of these days, this weekend, we'll be going to Kobe Japanese Steakhouse for dinner. Tomorrow, Pam & Jessica are coming over for a cookout.

Besides that, laying low. Today I slept until like 11:30 a.m.! And I went to be like 10:30 p.m.! I haven't done that in forever.

My youngest niece (Maegan) turns 13 today! How can that be! I remember seeing her for the first time when she was 3 days old.

What's cool about the internet is even though I'm 300 miles away, we've got a good relationship because of IMing - same with Chrissy and VJ. I know that if I lived in Hornell, we would have the same relationship as Helen and I had - always doing something together. At least with technology, we are close.

Chrissy had her Junior Prom last week - pictures came out great! I still need to save them to my computer so I can post some of them.

Watched the season finale of Lost last night - talk about twists and turns! At least it did answer some questions, but also brought up some more questions. What a great show.

So - received the 20 year high school reunion e-mail today - Didn't I just graduate yesterday? 15 months to get back to my high school size! LOL!

This sucks - they've limited our internet at work - no more yahoo mail or myspace during work hours. Maybe this is a good thing - I'll start concentrating on work instead of work some, play some!

Going to the dentist in a few. Hopefully nothing new - at least we now have some good dental insurance through my work. Dan's Blue Cross/Blue Shield is great for medical but sucks on the dental.

Last night, the contractor finally came and fixed the fascia that fell off the house a couple of weeks ago. Waited for them to leave and by that time, it was time for 24!

MAN, WHAT A SHOW! I didn't see the ending coming and I love how they actually had the cliffhanger this year.

Today was the walk for Cystic Fibrosis (www.cff.org). We walked in honor of Grace Ehrie, my co-worker's daughter. Grace is 3 and takes like 50 pills a day (literally) to prevent illness. Grace and her dad, Matt (my co-worker), mom Nicole and brother Cash the dog live in NJ now, but we support them in their fight against this disease by walking. This is the 2nd year we've walked and the first year as Grace's Aces of Virginia. We are hoping that next year we can recruit more people to walk.

While we were sitting around, Dan became quite the artist and did a drawing of Spongebob and Patrick.

Pictures are in the CF album.

Well - the visitors are gone and it's only 11 a.m. We really didn't see much of them. They got in around 5, went to dinner and to the mall, came back, got ready and left for the club. They had a good time at the club - they said it was packed and the line was around the block.

We're going to head out to the movies in a few to see The Davinci Code. I read the book just because of all of the hype. It wasn't the type of book I would usually read, but it was ok - I didn't understand all of the hype - maybe because I'm not Catholic? Maybe because I just read it as a story and not as part truth? Dan hasn't read the book, but is interested in the movie. It was the type of book that I would have rather seen the movie than read the book.

So the movie was good - it kept right to the book. Dan enjoyed it too.

Just did some more investigating on Lost.

There's an online virtual reality game that is separate from the show, but may have some clues to what happens on the island.

Dan and I have been looking at it - MAYBE this is what we'll be doing this summer since the show won't be on.

I have a daily calendar on my desk and get daily e-mails for a calendar that's called "Bad Cats".

There's also a book called "Bad Cats" and there's one for "Bad Dogs" too. Anyway - they have some GREAT pictures with GREAT quotes. I've add some of the good ones to my pictures page.

So today, VJ, his girlfriend (Karen) and her friend (Heather) are coming down to go see a DJ in DC.

The plan is - leave Canisteo around 11 a.m., get here around 5 p.m., go to DC about 9 p.m., see the DJ from like 12 midnight to 4 a.m., come back here and sleep awhile and then head back and arrive in Canisteo by 5 p.m. because Heather has to work. CRAZY! Even crazier than anything I ever did to see a band! I told him Heather needs to call in so they can hang out.

In other news - I'm getting REALLY addicted to Lost - I'm like all over the internet checking out websites. It doesn't help that they are adding websites during the commercials!

Below is my personal poll - who else is watching Lost?

Big day at work - we had a "grand opening" at one of our new restaurants. Christina & LaTonya did a great job. Everything went perfect. I've added some funny pictures of Christina & LT goofing around and a picture of me and Pam (Jessica's mom).

The boss has been calling everyday. One of our tenants let her borrow one of their international cell phone rentals. Of course, today was a big day, so I'm sure she was wonder how everything went.

Work is almost over - time to go home and relax.

So, the boss is gone for the next TWO weeks! WOOHOO! Time to catch up on some work.

We watched Ocean's Twelve last night - both of us fell asleep during it! It was ok, but obviously, not that great for us to be falling asleep during it. That was about all that happened at home last night. Dan made more brownies. The store had a sale on them, so he's been baking them as soon as one batch is gone. Luckily, I don't have that much of a chocolate/sweet tooth, so I eat two and that fulfills my craving (if I even had one).

I made my travel plans to go to Newark for training in the temporary position today. Going up on Tuesday, June 6 and flying back on Wednesday, June 7. This will be the 3rd time going to Newark to visit the office there.

I love this working 8 hours straight! Time just flies by (could that be because I'm at the airport? LOL!)!

It's almost 4 so almost time to wrap it up. The only thing is I don't feel like I get much done in the office since I spend quite a bit of time out and about talking to the tenants. But, that is part of the job and basically why we are here on the weekends.

Home to finish laundry - hopefully, just putting it away. I wonder what else Dan has done today.

Oh - my weekend is already over!

Friday I spend shopping for everyone's birthday (Chrissy, Mae, Dan & VJ) and then cleaned the house.

Today - Chipotle for lunch and then to fellow scrapbooker, Karen's house for her Creative Memories open house (http://www.mycmsite.com/sites/karenkampmann). The rest of the day, yard work (mostly for Dan) and then laundry. So goes the weekend.

I had a call from my cousin John today - he's still working on the bible. I guess he decided to rebind it himself. He's so nice - I can tell he's lonely though. Sounded like family life isn't that good for him.

So Babe had a doctor's appointment Monday evening - to clip her nails and shave her belly.

What an experience! Of course she was screaming the whole time - bit me a couple of times too, but I don't blame her! Poor kitty even peed while we were shaving her belly - probably from pressing on her bladder. She got over it though as soon as she got her baby food.

Her weight is the same - 9 lbs. Still on the low end, but she looks good.

My scapbooking club (Lo Co Scrappers) is a kind of on hold for now. I have been helping out for the last couple of months. Setting up meetings, posting them, following up with the store where we meet, etc., but for the last couple of times, it's been me and one other person. I've even had to cancel one get together because I was the only YES RSVP! I've asked other people to step up and "host" if they wanted to do a different day of the week than the Tuesday I usually pick or if they wanted to do a crop somewhere else. There was one taker who said she'd be interested, but she hasn't done anything yet. So, I've decided that's enough of taking over for me. If I want to scrapbook, I'll do it at home and have the family over or friends.
