So I e-mailed the foster parent of Charma. She will be at Saturday's event in Falls Church.
Dan seemed to be open to her - especially since she fits both breeds of what either one of us wants. I thought for sure he would say, not a puppy.
Just got off the phone with Dan - HE'S IN LOVE! He's all set to go to the event on Saturday and get her. We're both trying not to get our hopes up and keep in the back of our mind if we don't click, it's not going to work.

This blog started as The adventures of a D.I.N.K. family where the two "kids" are four legged and how we are going to retire early. Now it's a 1 income, 1 entrepreneur, and 1 pup getting closer and closer to retirement.

THANK YOU BON JOVI!
Since Bon Jovi was on American Idol last night - I've sold all 3 of the CDs that I had for sale on Amazon.com & Half.com!
I've missed half of tonights show because of talking to my family in NY. More about that tomorrow - and what I thought about the versions of the Bon Jovi songs the contestants sang!

So, I keep looking at different websites for dogs available for adoption. We've talked about getting a dog, but more than likely an adult. I mentioned to Dan that I already had a name picked out. He wasn't too happy when I told him "Zed". He just said, we'll talk about it.
Wait until I show him this -

Breed: Husky/Shepherd mix
Sex: Female
Age: Approx. 11 weeks
Color: Tan and white
Size: Approx. 15 lbs.
Status: Available with foster
Good With Kids: Yes
Good With Cats: Not Yet Determined
Good With Dogs: Yes
Charma and her littermates are spunky and friendly pups. They play and roll and wrestle with complete joy. These super cute pups are outgoing scamps with personality plus. They were born on February 14, 2007. Given their current size and breed mix, they're going to be big dogs that will benefit from having a fenced yard. I do know that Dan has been partial to huskies, so there may be a chance. I'm hoping that since it's in foster care, Charma might have a little housetraining done.
I've e-mailed to see if she'll be at the adoption event on Sunday in Leesburg. Dan's working (at 4), but maybe I can get him up to Leesburg. Then it'll be ALL OVER!
