OK - little things make me happy.
Yesterday, I was using my cell phone (which is my work cell phone) and all of the sudden it says "software needs to be updated", I press OK and next think you know - I HAVE TWO WAY TEXT MESSAGING! WAY COOL!
I did have one way text messaging, but could never text back - I know, weird. I guess Westfield didn't want to pay for it.
THEN, I noticed that it could received downloads (i.e., ringtones). Before, I had to hook up the phone to my computer and download that way and it was limited songs (ie, no Rick Springfield). SO, what was the first thing I did? DOWNLOAD JESSIE'S GIRL! Then of course I had to download a couple more (a Megadeth song for Dan, and 1985 by Bowling for Soup since it was written by a local band that I like - SR-71 www.sr-71.net).
Next, if we could get camera cell phones

I'm spending the last day of vacation doing taxes - fun wow! Hopefully we don't owe anything!
Then, I need to run out to the mall to get a dress for next weekend. I tried finding one on Friday, but no luck.
We went and saw FD3 yesterday - it was awesome! Much more goreier than the other two. They showed more "blood" longer. I was covering my eyes a lot more than I did in the other movies!

Oh no - the week is wrapping up and I haven't completed everything I wanted to do! Can I have another week off?
The time off hasn't been all fun and no work. I've been checking e-mail from home otherwise, I'd be spending all day on Monday trying to catch up. Right now, I'm trying to reorganize myself and get in order and return to work REFRESHED and REVIVED ready to work my butt off. LOL!
Today, off to Wheaton, MD to pick up Jessica (in rush hour traffic) and off to see Final Destination 3 (www.fd3movie.com) tomorrow. I CAN'T WAIT! Both of my nieces have seen it and they said they liked it. Funny thing, I'm the one that got them into the series!
Maybe I'll see if Jess wants to go to the mall. I need to find a formal dress for a charity that Westfield is "requesting" us to go to (www.alexandriaredcross.org/RIR%20Index.htm). I wonder if I can wear pants - I haven't worn a dress since the wedding and then I had bicycle shorts on underneath!

Loving the time off so far. Allthough, it's still the long weekend. I've been sleeping about 10 hours each night! Obviously, I needed the sleep!
Saturday, Dan and I went to Kobe's Japanese Steakhouse for a belated Valentine's Day dinner.
Sunday, I went to a cropping party and then had dinner with Dan's sister, Kristina.
Today, we got groceries, had dinner (at home) and then I went to a Lo Co Scrappers get together. Only two of us showed up! But, it was fun and I got about 4 pages done.

LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW -
Dan measured about 9 to 11 inches. The roads are pretty clear now - but I bet anything, school will be closed tomorrow - I'm thinking it'll be icy in the morning.
Additional pictures on the photos page.

Well - it figures the weekend that I have plans, it's going to snow.
Jessica (my co-worker's daughter) was going to come over, spend the night, and we were going to go to the movies and see Final Destination 3. BUT - with the snowstorm, we're going to postpone the get-together for a couple of weeks (hopefully the 24/25) since Jess has other plans next weekend.
Sunday, I'm invited to a Creative Memories open house. Hopefully I'll at least be able to make an appearance (and get free stuff!).
So - looks like I'll be studying my Italian this weekend since we'll probably be stuck at home. I skipped class last night - my neck was killing me - even after getting a massage.
This time next week, I'll be getting ready for a week off - sticking around the house and just hanging out and getting stuff done there (like taxes).
I CAN'T WAIT FOR SOME TIME OFF!

Dan got back from Canada on Monday. He had a BLAST! I'll try to post pictures this weekend. He has a bunch of stories - They did a lot of walking (on the lake since it was frozen), talking, and drinking.
I still have no desire to go up there in the middle of winter.

Weekend is here and gone.
Friday was scrapbooking with the family.
Saturday was dinner with Suzanne and laundry.
Sunday was running errands.
I didn't watch the football game, but checked out the commercials on the web (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5305580?GT1=7840). I think Budweiser has the best commercials. I LOVE the football game with the streaker ad and the hidden beer in the office ad.
Dan will be back today sometime. Really didn't get a chance to talk with him over the weekend. The cell phone reception was bad so our conversations were about 5 minutes each.

Last night, Italian class went well. I think I'm over the overwhelmed feeling and the fear of getting embarassed when mispronouncing a word. Good thing too - The teacher kept calling on me - AND there were 16 other students in the room!
The first hour, it was like every other pronounciation, he would call on me, or use my name for the example of a phrase. He even spent time with me when I was mispronouncing - I felt it was more than what he was spending on other people. I'm surprised the other students weren't getting mad.
Now, MAYBE it was because I did some brown nosing - I showed him an audio link that I found for a poem that we are supposed to memorize (or at least try).
Dan left for Canada this morning - at 5 am. A little family bonding time. Harry (Dan's mom's husband), Uncle Don, and cousins Jeff, Pete & Angie (Don's kids) will all be meeting up at the cottage in Canada for what they hope is a FROZEN WEEKEND. Have fun - there was no way I was going. I had enough snow growing up in NY. I had enough snow when we went to Ohio for Thanksgiving!
My weekend will be bonding with girlfriends. Having dinner with my friend, Suzanne, tomorrow and maybe some shopping with Sandy (from work) on Sunday. No Super Bowl parties for me. I may watch for some commercials since they are the highlight
