Yahoo 360 Team Blog - Are You Heading Off Somewhere Soon?
YES! How fitting since we are starting the traveling this weekend!
This weekend, it's driving to NY for my niece's (Chrissy) high school graduation party. I can't wait to introduce the pup to the family. VJ is the only one who has met her so far. It's been a year since we've been in Hornell (for Helen's funeral). Doesn't seem that long. I can't wait to hear Chrissy's stories about her trip to Mexico. She went there on a missonary trip through church and I think she helped at an orphanage. Her first time on a plane and first time out of the country.
Mae will be coming back with us, so the next two weeks will be busy with her. We are always on the go - of course it might be different this year with the pup. We need to keep the pup busy and not crated the whole time.
Then it's off to Canada for a week. Dan's sister & nephew will be meeting us up there at the family cottage on Rice Lake.
September 2 to the 7 - cruise to Bermuda ! WOOHOO! I CANNOT WAIT!

This blog started as The adventures of a D.I.N.K. family where the two "kids" are four legged and how we are going to retire early. Now it's a 1 income, 1 entrepreneur, and 1 pup getting closer and closer to retirement.

I think it was for Christmas (it might have been for my birthday) - Dan got me a toolbox. Yes, a toolbox to hold all of my tools in because he was tired of digging through a box that had my tools in it. LOL.
He's lucky that I just chalk it up to a inappropriate gift.

when Dan and I dressed up as pirates for a halloween party - we went all out.
Other costumes that I remember - senior year - my mom made me a cat outfit. When I was like 3, I had a cat outfit too, and I remember it just itching like crazy - it had like fiberglass fibers in it - a bright orange color.
One of Dan's best costumes was as a rocker - he looked just like he was from a hairband.

I thought "DaVinci Code" did an OK translation.
Someone did point out to me that the female had a less lead than in the book. I really didn't realize it until then. I think I was more interested during the film on did it stick with the book or not.
I can't think of any other book that I read and then saw the movie. Actually, I read the Star Wars series when I was in middle school, but didn't see the movies until years after that when they were finally played on regular tv. So, I don't remember that translation.

That would be "Joni". I remember going to see it with the church youth group. Let see - 1980 - I would have been 11 years old.
I think the next movie I was able to see was "Hard To Hold" and that was with Richard, my neighbor and brother's best friend.
Wait though - I would have been 15 - I went on a movie date at 13 - what the heck did we see? I know who the guy was though - my first date!

I ALWAYS knew this was the song I wanted played at my wedding. Sure enough, it's what I walked down the aisle to and it was our first dance. Luckily, Dan likes Firehouse too!

Well - here I am in Newark, NJ - sitting in the hotel room. Thank goodness for wireless internet access!
The day has been fine. I got right up this morning and got to the airport a little early. I saw a sight that I wasn't sure was good or not - I saw a guy drinking beer at 7:30 A.M.! Yikes - he either had been up all night and just continued drinking, needed a beer to relax before the flight, or is an alcoholic!
The flight was good - landed 20 minutes early. We were in a small RJ (sits about 50 people). I was in the very first seat and was by the "galley". The flight attendent started chatting with me about the book I was reading (Bad Twin - part of the Lost TV show) and that lead to talking about Lost and other tv shows.
The "training" has gone well so far. Just a lot of maintenance stuff that I will be doing while Susan is out. Susan and I get along great and think a lot a like on things so it all works out well.
I'm staying at the Days Inn right by the airport and every so often I hear the "airtrain" whistle blow - mostly because it's almost right outside my window. The hotel is pretty nice - I wasn't too sure since it was REALLY cheap for the Newark area - $80!
Hopefully, I'll be getting to bed soon - I'm so tired. I'm still drained from last week.
