I have been planning to go to this Washington Capitals Viewing Party as soon as I heard about it. Glory Days is close to our house and I've been wanting to go to a viewing party.
It was ALOT of fun. Hubby, myself and our neighbors-Dan, Stephanie & Jax- met up there, had dinner and hung out for the game. When we walked in, we said 4 people as the Red Rockers gave us 4 glasses. There were raffle tickets and a players name and number. If the player scored, you would get a prize. When Dan & Stephanie came in, they got glasses too! So, we got 2 extra - which is fine with me. More chances right? WRONG! We (all four of us; 7 if you count Jax and the two phantom people that we got glasses for) won NOTHING!
That made the night - the Capitals lost big time 5-0. Come to find out half way through the game, the backup goalie (Neuvy) was injured so they didn't pull Holtby and they were waiting for Varly's equipment to arrive to officially announce that he was brought up from Hershey. By that time, it was too late, Caps were losing BIG TIME. Crazy stuff. Neuvy was injured in the morning skate, yet they didn't have time to get Varly to NJ in time. Varly had played 2 nights in a row, so it was unlikely they would have let him play.
Oh Caps - let's get back on the winning train......
