Adventures (in health): Day 7 of Youngevity

Today, I tried mixing the Ultimate Classic with a strawberry Special K protein.  It was good and covered up the taste of the Ultimate Classic pretty good.

I plan on going back and forth between the two flavors of Special K.  I use about half a shake a day.

I also walked on the treadmill today.  I did 1.5 miles at 2.5 MPH.  Slowly getting back to where I was (3 miles at 3 MPH)

Blogging For Books - Book Review: Happier At Home by Grethen Rubin

This book has been on my shelf forever.  I wanted to read "The Happiness Project" first.  I finally picked a copy up at a yard sale about a year ago.

I was really disappointed with the writing style of "The Happiness Project."  It didn't keep my interest at all.  It was kind of scientific, not really like a memoir which it is.

So, onto "Happier At Home".

I was disappointed again.  I hardly read it.  Once again it was written kind of scientific and not as a memoir.

So unfortunately, I can't really give a review for this book that will help decide if you would like this book or not.

Adventures (in Health): Day 5 of Youngevity

We did some grocery shopping yesterday and purchased some Special K Protein shakes for cheap.  Harris Teeter had them on sale for $4.99, then with my VIC savings I got it for $3.66, then I had a 70 cent coupon that was doubled!  Final price:  $2.66

I thought they would be good for mixing with my Ultimate Classic.  I was right!  Wow!  It was better than with milk!

This was with French Vanilla.  I also bought strawberry.

I got back on the treadmill today too.  I just did one mile at 2.5 MPH.  I was up to 3 miles at 3 MPH, but I took about the last 3 weeks off.  I'll eventually get back there.

Adventures (in Health): Day 3 of Youngevity

Day 3 of Youngevity and I think I found the right mix for the Ultimate Classic.

I put it in milk today, and it wasn't bad at all.  There was a little after taste but nothing like the previous days.

Adventures: Taking My Health to the Next Level

Yesterday I posted that I started taking Youngevity Ultimate Classic and Essential EFA.

Straight up, the Ultimate Classic was nasty, so today I mixed it with unsweetened iced tea.  This wasn't as bad, but still a little after taste.

Even though I am new to Youngevity, I would love to have you join me on this journey.  Please contact me for more information.

Adventures: The next steps into a healthy lifestyle

This is basically a follow-up to my August post regarding my health.

My food craving are still non-existent. When I have a former craving food, I have a "regular size" portion, not a extra large portion.

I am down about 20 pounds and when I went to the doctor in November, he took me off of the cholesterol meds.  I am walking 3 miles a day, at 3.2 miles an hour.  I've taken a couple of weeks off from walking, but look forward to starting again on Monday.

For the new year, I wanted to "take it to the next step."  I have been a distributor for Heritage Makers which is part of Youngevity.  So for the new year, I ordered the supplements pack called Classic 90 which has the basic 90 nutrients essential for health.

The pack arrived yesterday (Dec. 31), just in time for the new year!  So today was the first day.  Since I wasn't home most of the day, I only took 1 pill (up to 3 a day is suggested) and did my "shot" (1 1/2 Tablespoons).

OMG - good thing it was just a "shot"!  YUCK!  Tomorrow I might try it in some tea (since I have some) or buy some juice to mix it in.   Who knows, maybe I'll just keep with the shot and my taste buds will get used to it.
